Stylish Sky Tower Pad - Rooftop Pool

Bad end to a nice 2 week stay in NZ Positive: Good location Negative: Old hotel that has been converted into apartments. Nobody at apartments & key pickup location is elsewhere. After online booking via the portal you still have to sign a contract, agree to certain conditions and give your credit card details. After returning to the UK we noticed we were fined NZ$380 for emptying cigarette butt box in rental unit bin? Now my partner smoked 4 or 5 times outside the apartment building and put the used butts in a butt box and before leaving, emptied the box into paper towels, wrapped them up and put them in the waste bin amongst our other rubbish in our apartment room before going to the airport. A day later, I noticed that a NZ$380 ‘fine’ had been taken from my UK bank account & an email from the letting agent saying that we had broken the contract by smoking in the apartment/building and the fine was related to that. Attached was a foto of the unwrapped paper containing the cigarette butts in the room bin saying that we had broken the terms of the contract. The cleaner had obviously gone through the bin to try and find something incriminating to impose a fine. We left the room incredibly clean and obviously odour clean. I disputed that we had smoked in the apartment or building but the agent now refuses to discuss the topic or provide proof that we did actually smoke in the building.

Great Skytower apartment Positive: Awesome facilities with 2 swimming pools, spa n sauna plus great views of the Skytower! Negative: Picking up the card from a different location was a bit of a pain but not too fat away

Nothing to do with Sky City. Positive: Location was great. We had a bit of trouble finding the key location. Staff were very helpful when I left my phone behind. We learnt a lot about staying in an accommodation that also has booking.com apartments.

A very clean, pleasant, and ideally located apartment that I would highly recommend. Positive: The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, very well equipped, and the location was perfect for all the main attractions. Everything worked perfectly and the two hosts were immediately on hand to answer any questions (questions that were my fault because I didn’t read the arrivals instructions properly!!) Negative: Picking the key up from another location was a slight inconvenience, but nothing major.
